Chances are you have several caregivers in your congregation. They silently and selflessly give of themselves day in and day out to care for a loved one in need. There are millions of caregivers among us who are caring for aging parents. You may even be a caregiver yourself. If so, you realize the need for the church to put in place a minfrasTructure that provides encouragement and care for these caregivers among us.
If you are a caregiver, don't go through this alone. If you are a church, be actively ministering to caregivers in your congregation and community. Check out this great resource.
National Caregivers Library
This online library provides a wealth of resources for individuals, employers, churches, and professionals. Their website states:
The National Caregivers Library was created by FamilyCare America, Inc. and is one of the largest single sources of information and tools for caregivers and seniors in the country. It makes it resources available to caregivers for free through alliances with professionals, businesses and other organizations who serve seniors and their caregivers with a variety of products and services.
They provide an amazing amount of free information. I know the founder and can tell you he and his team have put in a lot of work for over 13 year compiling this information. I highly recommend you check out on their website at www.CaregiversLibrary.org.
Individuals
Individuals should also check out The Caregivers Handbook, which includes over 80 pages of resources, checklists, and worksheets. While this is a paid resource, it is a great value. (Note: I do not receive any compensation for this endorsement.)
Churches

Question
What other caregiver resources do you recommend. How is your church ministering to caregivers?
